Day 2 - Friday, May/10
10:00 IOSONO - Workshop
(80 min) Franz Zotter, Matthias Frank » Location: IEM CUBE
IOSONO develops its multichannel audio interfaces for the control of sound field reproduction under linux. In the workshop, we will demonstrate their user interface to create spatial audio scenes using different audio rendering methods, such as amplitude panning, wave field synthesis, and an Ambisonic panning we were able to develop for IOSONO. Hereby we start from scratch and show how to specify the loudspeaker locations and how to automatically equalize them using the user interfaces provided by IOSONO when setting up. Audio scene editing is remotely done from the rendering machine by a VST plugin in Nuendo that specifies the locations of the different audio tracks in space by OSC commands in real time. We will arrange a small spatial audio composition together and maybe try to control the audio objects via OSC by other interfaces.

The schedule is a major guideline. There is no guarantee events will take place at the announced timeslot.
