Robin's professional experience ranges from consulting to hardware/software development, focusing on Research & Development for art-installations, life and open-web standards. Amongst others places, he worked at the Netherlands Institute for New Media Art, Mediamatic, V2_ Lab as well as Berkeley Lab and taught at the Kunst Univesitaet Linz and the San Francisco Art Institute. Robin is technical-director for various sound and film-productions and works internationally with celebrated artists.
Joining the free-software-movement in the mid 90's, he became the author of renowned GNU/Linux applications and is known in the FLOSS community for running the linuxaudio.org portal since 2005 and for co-organizing the Linux Audio Conference since 2009. Robin is involved in 64studio.com and ardour.org amongst many other FLOSS projects.
Since March 2009 Robin teaches and engineers Media-Art at the CITU Lab of the University Paris 8.
