  • A Musician's View: Exploring common features of Yoshimi and ZynAddSubFX
    » Workshop - day:2 - 10:45
    » Location: Workshop I (P2)

My music interest began with childhood piano lessons, followed by joining the school accordion band. As a teenager I dabbled with the primitive GEM keyboard and electric guitar, playing R&R with a few friends, and later C&W.
My electronic music introduction was in the 1990s with a Yamaha SY22, and later a Roland Sound Canvas, both into a MIDI sequencer running on an Acorn Archimedes.
Later in the decade I got interested in Linux and eventually became aware of software synthesisers. I couldn't really work with them until about 2004 when I 'discovered' ZynAddSubFX, and now, Yoshimi.
