Richard went to the UK to make the best speaker in the world but somehow got involved with the best microphone, the Calrec Soundfield Mk4, instead. He was R&D Manager at Wharfedale for nearly half his life and has worked for Celestion & KEF too. To his primitive mind, a surround sound system is a loudspeaker .. you feed an electrical signal at one end and get a noise out the other. His specialty is integrating acoustics, linear & non-linear analogue & digital technology into speakers and microphones so that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
After a decade as a Scuba instructor on the Great Barrier Reef, Richard is currently Pandit Litoral in Cooktown, Oz.
