What has been done?

We have reached the 0.9 release, and we have learned 
a lot in the process:

The importance of dissemination
The (utmost) importance of collaboration with existing projects
We need to cope with the fact that funding is not neverending
Release early, release often is a good thing (tm)
AND
Building distributions is a PITA
